In Paris, a one-of-a-kind escape game is waiting for curious visitors and action film enthusiasts... Meet La Planque de Vlad, an adventure to be experienced at Run out the Clock. What makes it special? The option to play solo... Yes, you can tackle the escape room all by yourself! Here are the details.

This is definitely an escape game that breaks the mold... Not so much in its theme or gameplay, but in its capacity to host larger groups. But first, let's lay the groundwork: this escape room is La Planque de Vlad, an adventure to be experienced at Run Out The Clock, a venue located in the 15th arrondissement. The room challenges players to put an end to a criminal's operations, right in his own hideout.

Overview of Vlad's Hideout by Run out the Clock

"Vlad, a notorious drug lord, has taken over the neighborhood and set up shop in an old chemical warehouse. Police raids have taken place multiple times, but they've never found any drugs. And that's no coincidence—Vlad seems to be well-informed... Only your team of mercenaries stands a chance of getting their hands on the stash. This mission is yours—hurry before Vlad returns!".

An Escape Game Like No Other

A room designed for up to five players, but with a unique twist: it can also be tackled solo... Yes, you read that right — you can actually play it all by yourself. The venue explains that this single-player option is available from Monday to Friday and will set you back 45 euros. It might seem a bit pricey — after all, that’s roughly the cost for a team of two — but the business needs to make sure the venture remains profitable. Also, keep in mind that to book a solo session, you’ll have to do so via email or phone.

For more traditional groups, the venue highlights the option to book for a Bachelor Party, Bachelorette Party, a birthday celebration, or even a Team Building, which includes a "photo challenge" in the room. But there's nothing stopping you from just coming with friends. La Planque de Vlad is also open to visitors aged 13 and over when accompanied by an adult, due to the complexity of some puzzles. Rest assured: despite its somewhat sensitive theme, nothing is likely to offend visitors, even the young ones.

And as for the experience, Run out the Clock rates it at an intermediate level (3/5), combining about a third of searching, a third of manipulation, and a third of puzzle-solving... A well-balanced adventure overall. So there you have it! All that's left is for you to book your spot.
