A true cultural space, the venue was taken over in 2012 by the Cultplace teams, with the aim of transforming the former building into the ideal venue for Parisian nights. Today, the venue offers a varied program of events for everyone, throughout the week, day and night.
The Rotonde Stalingrad was conceived by architect Claude-Nicolas Ledoux in the 18th century, between 1784 and 1788. At the time, the building functioned as a checkpoint where an import tax was levied on goods entering the city of Paris. Désaffectée en 1791 with the Révolution française, the structure later served as the barracks for the municipal guard, a salt granary, and more.
Before Cultplace took over in 2009 and it became a major artistic hub in the neighborhood. All week long, the place to be is La Rotonde, whether for an open air event, a disco and funk night, or simply to enjoy a drink on the terrace with a view of the Bassin de la Villette!
Entrance to La Rotonde is free and open to all, although you'll need to pay admission fees depending on the musical evening you wish to attend. La Rotonde is closed on Mondays and Sundays, and open from 5 p.m. and until 6 a.m. (on Fridays and Saturdays) on other days.
