The team Klin d’œil has decided to help you with your gift hunting by once again organizing at Carreau du Temple its marché de Noël. This event, now a staple for fans of artisanal craftsmanship and for discovering wonderful finds, returns for a fifth edition on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 December 2026.
The team at Klin d'œil, a boutique-gallery in the 11th arrondissement that has been around for over 10 years, transforms the Carreau into a veritable Aladdin's cave for the holidays every year. Their mission? To introduce us to talented French designers who stray from the beaten path of industrial production. And frankly, they know how to find the gems.
For this new edition, 95 designers are taking over the 1,800 m² hall, each bringing their own distinctive universe. You’ll find everything from colorful clothing to ceramics, stationery, home décor, specialty groceries, beauty care, and gifts for the kids. Every stand tells a story, a craft handed down with real passion, far from mass production.
What we particularly appreciate at Klin d'œil is the warm atmosphere that reigns as soon as you walk through the doors of the Carreau du Temple. This iconic 3rd arrondissement venue, a former 19th-century covered market saved from demolition, offers a magnificent architectural setting with its iron, glass, and brick structure. Located a few meters from Square du Temple and the 3rd arrondissement town hall, it has become a real cultural hub since its renovation in 2014.
The creators' market isn’t just about pretty objects. The event’s real strength lies in the DIY workshops offered all weekend. Screen printing, embroidery, pastels... kids and adults alike can roll up their sleeves and walk away with their own creations. A great way to dive into the world of artisans and see their craft up close. These workshops also let you craft personalized gifts that carry a far richer feel than something bought off a shelf.
With fashion, home decor, children's accessories, beauty products, and gourmet foods, it's hard to leave empty-handed. Each item has been carefully designed and created and carries the soul of its creator. These are a far cry from the standardized gifts you find everywhere else. Here, you'll find unique pieces, often in small batches, that are sure to delight those who receive them.
The musical atmosphere punctuates your stroll between the stalls, creating the festive and friendly atmosphere that makes this event so charming. You can take the time to chat with the creators and understand their approach and techniques. That's also part of the magic of this market: meeting the people who make the things you buy.
The Carreau du Temple is located at 4 rue Eugène Spuller in the 3rd arrondissement. Several metro stations provide easy access: Temple on line 3, République on lines 3, 5, 8, 9 and 11, or Arts et Métiers on lines 3 and 11. The Christmas Market opens its doors on Saturday, December 12 from 11:00 to 20:00 and on Sunday, December 13 from 11:00 to 19:00, with free admission for everyone.
In a city like Paris, which has no shortage of Christmas markets, Klin d'œil stands out for its authenticity and carefully curated selection. There are no industrial stands here, only handpicked artisans and designers. It's the perfect opportunity to support French and local creativity, while treating yourself or your loved ones to meaningful gifts. The small scale of the market allows you to really enjoy the experience without being jostled by the crowds.
In short, to hunt for original handmade gifts, enjoy a fun creative moment with family or friends, and discover talents worth checking out, head to Carreau du Temple on December 12–13, 2026. A delightful discovery to be made in the stunning setting of this historic Parisian hall.
