Among the top models gracing the Fashion Week runways is Jean Paul Gaultier. Known as the " enfant terrible of fashion", this legendary French designer made the sailor stripe his signature and became renowned for spectacular shows as well as daring creations, such as the first men’s skirt introduced in the 1980s or Madonna’s iconic conical bustier. Although Jean Paul presented his last collection in 2020, his house continued to make waves on the runway through collaborations with carefully selected talents: Chitose Abe (Sacai), Glenn Martens, Olivier Rousteing (Balmain), Haider Ackermann, Julien Dossena (Paco Rabanne), Simone Rocha, Nicolas Di Felice (Courrèges), and Ludovic de Saint Sernin. Now, a new chapter begins for the label: the Dutch designer Duran Lantink will officially take on the role of creative director for Jean Paul Gaultier starting in fall 2025.
