Paris is gearing up to showcase its creative talents under the open sky! From September 10–19, 2026, the Paris Design Week turns the city into one giant workshop where furniture, fashion, architecture and new technologies converge. Contemporary art galleries, museums, and offbeat outdoor spots punctuate a route that invites you to explore, get inspired and dream.
At the heart of this trends festival, the Institut du Monde Arabe (IMA) unveils its iconic Design Prize, launched in 2023 to celebrate the creativity of designers from the Arab world. The aim: spotlight savoir-faire, innovation, and contemporary materials while offering a current read on the Arab way of living. The prize now comprises several distinctions: Emerging Talent, awarded to bold young creators; Contemporary Craft, which reinterprets traditional techniques; Impact Prize – Arab Bank Switzerland, dedicated to projects with social or environmental reach; Grand Prize, recognizing an overall approach and vision; and People’s Prize, which also gives a voice to visitors.
The work of the 2026 finalists and winners is showcased in a free exhibition at the IMA from September 10–20, 2026. Two free masterclasses will also enrich the program on September 12, exploring reconstruction, heritage and transmission, ahead of a panel on Arab identity in contemporary design from the Arab world on the 13th.
A perspective that extends the conversation beyond objects, inviting you to see Arab design through its gestures, its uses, and its new scripts.
