Founded in 1945 by Céline Vipiana, the house has reinvented its lines several times without ever losing its taste for a well-constructed wardrobe. After the Michael Kors era, followed by the cult minimalism of Phoebe Philo, Hedi Slimane picked up the scissors again in 2018, imposing a rock, streamlined, and distinctly Parisian look. Since 2025, Michael Rider has been at the helm of Céline’s artistic direction, after previously working for the house under Phoebe Philo, then a stint at Ralph Lauren. A homecoming that gives this Spring-Summer 2027 menswear collection a particularly interesting edge.
On the runway, the silhouettes glide by with that studied nonchalance that’s part of Céline’s vocabulary. Here, chic isn’t worn in uppercase. It slips into a perfectly cut jacket, a line that moves without a hitch, or a silhouette that seems drawn in a single stroke.
