After nearly a decade away, the Champs-Élysées Christmas market returns from November 22, 2026, through the first few days of January 2027. Wooden chalets, festive treats and dazzling lights: the famous Parisian event is back between Place de la Concorde and the Champs-Élysées roundabout, with a revamped offering focused on product quality. Here’s what to expect.

The festive lights stayed on while the chalets disappeared. This year, both are finally making a joint comeback! The Champs-Élysées Christmas Market will set up shop from November 22, 2026 to January 4, 2027, along the lower stretch of the famous Parisian avenue, in the 8th arrondissement. Its opening will coincide with the unveiling of the Christmas illuminations, a return to the holiday mood between the Obelisk of the Concorde and the roundabout at Champs-Élysées.

For its return, the Comité Champs-Élysées, which launched the avenue’s first market in 2008, has teamed up with 2A Organisation (behind the Christmas markets in La Défense and Boulogne) to put together a new concept, selected by the City of Paris. The idea? To recapture the convivial spirit of a traditional Christmas market—one that’s welcoming and full of warmth, with a particular focus on product quality. In short, to bring a little Christmas back to the Christmas market!

On the gourmand front, the organizers have already set the tone! The Champs-Élysées Committee plans to prioritize certified-label products and on-site preparations, featuring 100% French beef, whole-grain organic flours for crepes and waffles, and mulled wine of French origin, prepared by maceration rather than infusion. It’s enough to whet the appetite, even though the merchants who will delight visitors are still to be revealed.

The market also aims to put creativity in the spotlight and to deepen its ties with the neighborhood, its shops and its events. All under the avenue’s traditional lights, offering a stroll among shop windows, garlands and market huts, in one of the capital’s most photographed districts at this time of year.

So what can visitors actually expect? At the press conference held on October 28, 2026, more details emerged about the revamped Christmas Market on the Champs-Élysées: a total of 200 traditional wooden chalets are expected to line the world’s most beautiful avenue, in a setting described as harmonious. They will be divided into seven categories: gifts, home décor, food to enjoy on-site, takeaway food, toys, jewelry and fashion accessories, and cosmetics. Christmas traditions will also feature, with santons and Christmas baubles for sale.

At least 80% of vendors are expected to offer French products as part of an effort to promote local supply chains. A further 22 chalets will be dedicated to crafts, traditional skills and products made in Paris. In the children’s village, little ones can enjoy a skating rink, rides, Santa’s House and a Christmas lights-themed photo booth.

One thing is now certain: nearly ten years after its disappearance, the Christmas Market returns to the Champs-Élysées for winter 2026-2027. This year, the illuminations will no longer be the only show!
