Have you always dreamed of practicing your pole vault or 100m hurdles? One year ahead of the event of the decade, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the Yvelines département has set up a traveling village,"Athletic Day", which will travel through 18 towns until September 1, 2023, to introduce the general public to athletics, thanks to fun and free workshops. Open to all, especially children aged 6 to 12, the village will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., for a day dedicated to sport and Olympism.
All you have to do is find the spot nearest you, and come along as a family to test your endurance and precision in the various events on offer. Sprint, hurdle, long jump, pole vault, shot put or javelin, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to training and finding out who's the best. It's sure to ignite the passions of children, who could become our next Olympians in a few years' time!
