Is Paris FC one step closer to Ligue 1? Will we soon see a derby between Paris-Saint-Germain and the Parisian club at Stade Charléty? That's all we can hope for, with this shock announcement from Paris FC, who are developing free home tickets for the first time in the history of modern soccer. From the reception of Bastia on November 11, 2023, tickets will be free at Stade Charléty until the end of the season, in both Ligue 2 for men and D1 for women. The club's aim is to welcome a varied public and to promote generosity via an association at each match.
Paris FC, founded in 1969, is aiming to increase attendance at its matches, but above all wishes to "reconnect with the popular essence of soccer". In the club's view, a match should be a sporting spectacle open to all, with events such as the "lucarne d'Evry" in the corridors of Stade Charléty. This free service is only possible thanks to the involvement of the club's shareholders and partners, who should be able to generate resources greater than the club's loss of income.
Instead of paying for their tickets, fans will be invited to support the associations promoted at each match, with the aim of "creating a society" around soccer. Rai, former international and Paris FC ambassador, is delighted with this operation, because "it's just as important for soccer to be aware of social issues and play its part in responding to them, by taking advantage of its exposure".
Join the Paris FC supporters, but don't forget to reserve your free tickets in advance, as they go fast!
