How does a Jymp class work in practice? At Swedish Fit, located at 5 rue Bergère in the 9th arrondissement of Paris, you'll be given a small bag containing a skipping rope and a wire. The coach starts by explaining how the skipping rope works (how to adjust it, change the thread) and then shows you the basic movements for jumping with the rope without hurting yourself.
Once the demonstration is over, it's time to practice. Overall, the Jymp class is very cardio-oriented. You may find it hard to synchronize your movements at first, but with the coach's help, you'll soon get the hang of it, and by the end of the first class you'll surely have made progress. The coach shows you a number of choreographed routines, which you practice to music, before moving on to a little muscle-strengthening focused on thighs, buttocks and abdominals.
Jymp is a new way to sculpt your body and burn calories, all while having fun! However, don't expect to jump rope like you did when you were a kid - the class is for people who want to challenge themselves and are ready for an intense cardio class. Classes are held every Monday at 7.45 a.m. Let's Jymp!
