If you're not among the many runners taking part in the Paris Semi-Marathon, but want to experience the excitement of the race yourself, here's a simple route to cheer on the brave athletes of the day! Is a friend or family member participating? The organizers have set up a dedicated app that lets you follow the race in real-time and track your selected runners with live tracking!
It's possible to follow up to 10 people at the same time, with their location on the map and their ranking at the finish line, simply by entering the connected bib number. To support the runners along the route, you have several options: follow them by bike or by public transport. Although some areas will be closed to car parking and traffic during the race, by bike you'll be able to get close to the runners' route.
If you're not really into sport, but still want to cheer on your loved ones or the professional athletes for a few kilometers, the metro option is the most practical! Numerous stations line the Paris Half Marathon route, giving you quick access to the surrounding area, depending on the location of the runner you're following. The first starts are at 8 a.m. and the last ones shortly before 11 a.m., so you've got all morning to make up your mind!
