When it comes to Well-Being, Paris is full of beautiful addresses that follow one another and have nothing in common. In the 2nd arrondissement of Paris, between theOpéra and the Place Vendôme, a confidential spot is hidden on the rue de la Paix, and promises a beautiful moment of relaxation and exchanges accompanied by enlightened advice. At number 4, you cross the sublime sculpted vaults until you come upon, on your left and just before the courtyard, a door adorned with a plaque: Les Mains d'Odile.
When you open the door, you'll find yourself in the heart of a luminous cocoon, true to the spirit of a Parisian apartment, with high ceilings and a setting that combines elegance and softness. Right down to its playlist, the place is imbued with the soul of the capital. This is where you meet your host, Odile Vilain. Both a physiotherapist and beautician, with a passion for heritage and a love of nature, she has created a place in her own image, and uses all her expertise to provide personalized treatments based on each person's specific needs, as well as invaluable complementary advice.
Her technique has been perfected through years of experience, including protocols for Yves Saint-Laurent. In her Parisian setting, Odile demonstrates her expertise in the field of well-being, notably with her own palpate-roll method, which in this case is not synonymous with pain. Using a deep, gentle massage with an appropriate axis of rotation, she shapes and soothes targeted areas. And while she advocates the importance of regular treatment, she also warns that massage alone is not enough: it must be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle adapted to your needs.
This is precisely what makes the concept so special: the very human relationship between Odile and her guests. The sessions are punctuated by moments of exchange, and, with a great deal of pedagogy, she shares her knowledge with us, listens to our concerns and, without artifice or window-dressing, shares her observations with us. Because while the fees charged here are quite high, Odile makes it a point of honor to give precise indications and recommendations that go far beyond the treatment itself, to make the results more lasting.
For example, by detailing your posture, Odile immediately identifies what's wrong with your posture and explains with kindness and straightforwardness how to correct it and what exercises to do in order to prevent harmful effects over time. She also provides her customers with fact sheets summarizing the benefits of different essential oils, floral waters and vegetable oils, and detailing good and bad practices. And while Odile offers her own range of cosmetics, she also takes the time to explain how to choose the right products and their limitations.
In short, if you want to recharge your batteries, feel listened to and pamper yourself, you're in good hands here!
