How about using your next run to save lives? On Sunday November 23, 2025, the Protection Civile Paris Seine is launching a new charity race in the Bois de Vincennes: the Cardio Challenge Heroes .
The aim? To train as many people as possible in lifesaving techniques, because for every bib purchased, you finance the training of a young person and benefit from express training in these techniques: alerting, massaging, defibrillating, with the possibility of one day saving a life if need be.
And the race is accessible to all, as there are several routes to suit both regular runners and those who haven't yet taken up running. The program includes a timed 10 km and 5 km run, a 5 km walk open to all, and even a connected run, if you'd like to take part. Supported by the Paris Fire Brigade, SAMU and the French Federation of Cardiology, the event aims to raise awareness of life-saving techniques among 10,000 people.
In France, less than 1 in 2 people can perform cardiac massage, while every minute without intervention reduces the chances of survival after cardiac arrest by 10%. A day to run and become a potential rescuer yourself, isn't it worth it?
The day before, a village awaits you at the Halle Carpentier, with interactive activities, free training courses and meetings with first-aid professionals, to raise awareness and teach you what to do if running isn't your favourite activity. A world record of simultaneous cardiac massages for over 2,000 people will even be attempted!
