La Fontenaisienne 2025: a family race with several distances in Fontenay-aux-Roses (92)

La Fontenaisienne returns on Sunday June 15, 2025 for its second edition, organized by the athletics section of the Association Sportive Fontenaisienne (ASF), in Fontenay-aux-Roses (92), Hauts-de-Seine. The program includes several races in the town center, aimed at both seasoned athletes and amateurs and families wishing to take part in this friendly sporting event.

A new event this year, the Mile, equivalent to 1609 metres, is aimed at regulars and brings together athletes specializing in middle-distance events. High-level performances are expected, with the aim of beating the French record! Two races are aimed at younger runners, up to 14 years of age, so that the whole family can enjoy a sporting Sunday, while the 5km course is reserved for those over 15.

The routes

• 1.5 km: a race for youngsters (6-10 years)
• 3 km: for Benjamins and Minimes (11-14 years)
• 5 km: open to runners aged 15 and over
• The Mile (1609 m): a race dedicated to top-level athletes, with the aim of beating the French record for the discipline.

Several challenges are on the program for the day, with the Elementary School challenge rewarding the school that mobilized the most pupils, the Associations/Clubs challenge rewarding the structure most represented in the 5 km, the Fontenaisien challenge rewarding the first Fontenay-aux-Roses runners to cross the 5 km finish line, the Family challenge rewarding group participation and the best-ranked family, and the Intergenerational challenge, a special distinction for the youngest and oldest 5 km participants.
