How about discovering the beautiful natural spaces of Seine-et-Marne on Sunday, September 28, 2025? The Rando du Val de Seine is back for a second edition across the département and the Melun Val de Seine conurbation, starting at Place Saint-Jean in Melun and passing through the communes of Vaux-le-Pénil, Livry-sur-Seine, Rubelles and Maincy. Four free, signposted and safe routes await you to discover the area's natural and historical heritage.
On the program, no particular difficulty or gradient, but loops from 5 to 25 kilometers to satisfy young and old walkers alike, and especially families. From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., you'll also be able to take advantage of a village of exhibitors, with some 20 stands featuring local producers, the Melun Val de Seine urban area (mobility, biodiversity, etc.), and musical and fun activities.
A green and heritage walk through the city's main parks, then on to Ile Saint-Etienne, with its botanical garden, the collegiate church of Notre-Dame... Activities will be offered during this walk, accessible to all.
To the south, on the right bank, towards the Espace Naturel Sensible de Livry-sur-Seine, through forest paths leading to the old pier, with a fine view over the wild Seine.
Along the Almont green corridor, through the picturesque Briard village of Maincy, a "Petite Cité de Caractère", and on to the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte and its formal gardens.
For experienced walkers, it combines the riches of the previous two: Vaux-le-Vicomte, Maincy, the right bank of the Seine and the natural spaces of Livry-sur-Seine.
