Are you among the 60,000 runners who will take to the Champs-Élysées this Sunday, April 12, 2026 for the 49th edition of the Paris Marathon? If so, you’ll need real grit to conquer the 42.195 km of the capital’s iconic race.
But the route promises a sublime start on the world’s most beautiful avenue. The runners will head toward Place de la Concorde, then to Place de la Bastille, into the Bois de Vincennes, before looping back to the banks of the Seine to reach the Bois de Boulogne, and finally arrive at the Trocadéro and Avenue Foch, where the finish line awaits.
While some plan to join the route to cheer on the participants and their loved ones, others intend to tune in to this 49th edition of the Marathon de Paris from the comfort of their couch. Because, this year, the Marathon de Paris will be broadcast live on the television.
You’ll want to rise early to catch the start of the Paris Marathon. Starting at 7:50 am, France 3 will air live coverage of this flagship race through the streets of Paris. The broadcast is scheduled to run until around 10:30 am. Also, Eurosport 1 plans to carry the event live as well.
