La Fête des Chiens Guides 2023, at the Paris Guide Dog School

This Sunday, September 24, 2023, is the Fête des Chiens Guides! To mark the occasion, theParis Guide Dog School is opening its doors to the general public from 10am to 6pm.

For over 30 years, theParis Guide Dog School has been raising, training and handing out free guide dogs to visually impaired people, to help them get around safely and facilitate their social and professional inclusion. In all, over 1,000 guide dogs have been donated since the association was founded!

On September 24, come and discover the world of guide dogs and the visually impaired, and meet the center's professionals. A wide range of activities will be on offer, free of charge and open to all!

A wide range of activities are scheduled throughout the day:

• Workdemonstrations by guide dog trainers
• Stands and meetings with school professionals
• Presentation of puppies from the breeding center
• Workshops to raise awareness of visual impairment
• Every hour: guided tours of the school
• The Room in the Dark: the daily life of a visually impaired person
• Introduction to Braille
• Life in the blur: a simulation course
• Canine first aid
• Escape box: answer our riddles and try to escape from a box
• Games for children
