Les Arènes Lyriques 2025, the open-air classical music festival on the Butte Montmartre

Looking for classical music andopera in the summer of 2025? The 6th edition of the Arènes Lyriques festival, to be held in Montmartre from July 23 to August 16, 2025, will enchant you! Take your place in the secret Arènes de Montmartre, a garden just a few minutes' walk from the Sacré Coeur on rue Chappe: it's time for a poetic evening of music.

For the occasion, the young musicians and opera singers will sing and play under the garlands of lights in the Arènes de Montmartre, under a starry summer sky. New this year, the festival will also feature a special section for young audiences, with Les Arènes Lyriques des enfants, including afternoon concerts for children from leisure centers and hospitals in the Paris region.

This Arènes Lyriques ensemble presents a repertoire ranging from baroque to symphonic music, fromromantic opera to traditional Latin folk melodies. These concerts are quite spontaneous: the precise program is never known in advance and, the day after the concert, the audience receives an e-mail with details of the works performed the day before.

However, some of the highlights of this year's Arènes Lyriques program have already been announced: Oh! Ma lyre immortelle, Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2, Gainsbourg's Chanson de Prévert...
