When music invites you to travel. This is the concept to enjoy on Wednesday November 16, 2022, on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower in Paris for the first edition of Gokan. The idea of this event devoted to classic music? Carrying the audience to Tokyo, making them enjoy a fabulous musical journey. Imagine a chamber music recital shaped as an immersive experience (with screenings) 187 feet above the ground.

For this great first, this musical event welcomes three young talents and classic music rising stars on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower: Japanese pianist Rieko Tsuchida, French cello player Julie Sévilla-Fraysse and Japanese violinist Aiko Okamura.

As for the program planned for this night, it will shine a light on the historic ties between France and Japan. The audience will rediscover French romantic and modern music (Ravel, Debussy…) and contemporary Japanese music (Ryuichi Sakamoto).
