Heures Musicales: magical classical concerts in the heart of the Sainte-Chapelle

For three days, enjoy incredible concerts in the magnificent setting of the Sainte-Chapelle on the Île de la Cité. From September 26 to 28, 2023, the acoustics of the Sainte-Chapelle will make you experience a suspended moment of classical music.

With its superb stained glass windows, the Sainte-Chapelle is one of the most beautiful places to enjoy a classical music concert and let yourself be carried away by an almost divine sound. A mecca for music since its foundation by Saint-Louis, the chapel on theÎle de la Cité has hosted a vast output of works over the centuries. Composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier was Maître de Chapelle, and at least nine of his major works were destined for the Sainte-Chapelle. TheEnsemble Correspondancesorchestra would like to pay tribute to him during these Musical Hours, from September 26 to 28, 2023.

The Sainte-Chapelle is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful buildings in Paris, with its 1113 colorful stained-glass windows depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments. This 800-year-old Gothic gem becomes a magical place under the sun. [Read more]

For three days, enjoy the marvellous acoustics of the site, bathed in the purplish light of the stained glass windows, and be transported into another space-time, to the sound of this exceptional musical heritage. The first "Heures Musicales" in the chapel, these concerts will bring together talented musicians, under the baton of conductor Sébastien Daucé, to use all the senses and marvel at the beauty of the site.
