Eurovision 2025 second semi-final on Thursday: here are the favourites

This week,Eurovision fans have their eyes firmly fixed on Basel. It's here, in this Swiss city, that the 69th edition of the legendary song contest takes place this year.

On the French side, many are hoping that Louane, the French representative, will be able to break the bad luck and win this 2025 edition of Eurovision, 48 years after Marie Myriam's victory, the last to date for France.

While we wait for the final results, let's take a look at the semi-finals. On May 13, 10 countries had already qualified for the first phase. This May 15, 2025, 16 candidates are in the running for this second semi-final. This Thursday, Australia, Montenegro, Ireland, Latvia, Armenia, Austria, Greece, Lithuania, Malta, Georgia, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Luxembourg, Israel, Serbia and Finland will battle it out for a place in the final. Only 10 of them will be selected. So who are the bookmakers' favorites? Which countries could qualify and join the other 16 already selected for the grand final?

Israeli candidate Yuval Raphael leads the favorites according to the bookmakers, with a 95% chance of qualifying for the final. The singer is closely followed by JJ, the Austrian candidate, with 94%. The same score goes to Finland's Erika Vikman. Then there's Miriana Conte for Malta (84%) andAustralia's Go-Jo (82%).

On the other hand, 6 countries will unfortunately miss out on the final on Thursday evening. According to the bookmakers, these are Montenegro, Georgia, Denmark, Armenia, Ireland and Serbia.
