Wondering who will win the 2025Eurovision Song Contest? Just a little more patience before we find out. The winners and standings of this 69th edition of the contest will be revealed this Saturday, May 17, at the end of a final that could well hold a few surprises in store.
After the two semi-finals held on May 13 and 15,Eurovision unveiled the 26 finalist countries on Saturday. Among them, some are clear favorites. For several weeks now, KAJ, representing Sweden, has been the bookmakers' favorite. The group is followed by Austria's JJ.
However, the rest of the ranking is more uncertain, and the places occupied by the candidates are constantly changing. At the time of writing, Finland is now one of the bookmakers' Top 5 favorites. According to the oddsmakers, Finland's representative Erika Vikman has a 4% chance of winning the contest, and a 34% chance of making the final Top 5. However, she is closely followed by Yuval Raphael, the Israeli candidate (3%).
So, who is Erika Vikman? At 32, the singer is considered one of Finland's brightest pop artists. After appearances in summer theaters and various TV shows, Erika Vikman made a name for herself in 2016 by winning the famous Tangomarkkinat festival. Considered the world's oldest tango festival, it takes place every year in early July in Seinäjoki, Finland. Then, in 2020, Erika Vikman made waves again with her song " Cicciolina, which reached the top 5 of the singles chart in Finland.
A year later, Erika Vikman released her eponymous debut album, which reached number one in the Finnish charts. Since then, the singer has released other successful singles in Finland, such as " Syntisten Pöytä ", as well as " Ruoska ", a collaboration with Käärijä, the finalist in the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest.
This participation inEurovision 2025 is a great opportunity for the singer to make a name for herself beyond Finland's borders. And her song " Ich Komme ", which she will perform on May 17, seems to be winning over viewers, since Erika Vikman is now one of the Top 5 favorites according to the bookmakers.
