Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Doechii and Tate McRae... discover the winners of the 42nd MTV Video Music Awards. The ceremony took place on September 7, 2025 at the UBS Arena in New York, USA.

This Sunday, September 7, the 2025 edition of the MTV Video Music Awards was held at the UBS Arena in New York. Among the nominees were some favorites, including Lady Gaga, the most nominated artist with 12 nominations, including Artist of the Year. Bruno Mars (11 nominations), Kendrick Lamar (10 nominations), Sabrina Carpenter (9 nominations) and ROSÉ (8 nominations) also had a chance of taking home a trophy.

So who finally took to the stage to receive a win? Who were the lucky winners at the MTV Video Music Awards 2025? Unsurprisingly, Lady Gaga was the big winner of the evening, with four awards including Artist of the Year. Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter tied for second with three awards each. For the rest, Doechii walked away with two awards (best hip-hop song and best choreography). The same goes for Tate McRae, who won Best Song of the Summer for"Just Keep Watching" and Best Editing.
