Some readers still have in mind Patti Smith’s two electrifying shows at the Olympia to mark the 50th anniversary of her landmark debut, Horses. Never one to slow down, the rock icon is already plotting a return to Paris. Fans will be thrilled as the New Yorker brings her songs to the city for two consecutive nights. Catch her live in the City of Light on Saturday, July 11 and Sunday, July 12, 2026 at the Folies Bergère. The ticket office is already open. Expect prices from €24.50 (restricted view) up to €101.50 (Carré Or).
For this fresh circuit, the American artist is set to perform in a quartet lineup. Patti Smith will be flanked for the occasion by her son Jackson Smith on guitar, Seb Rochford on drums, and Tony Shanahan on bass and keys. Patti Smith and her bandmates are expected to use the live stage to revisit several of their enduring classics. Think Pissing in a River, April Fool, Gloria, People Have the Power, Because the Night, and also Frederick, Ask the Angels, and Dancing Barefoot. It’s worth noting that her last studio album, Banga, dates back to 2012. That makes 14 years without new material. In recent years, the singer appears to be focusing more on writing and live performance.
On the literary side, Patti Smith returns this spring with The Bread of Angels; a new autobiographical work billed as her most intimate memoir to date. On the live circuit, Smith regularly heads to Europe to perform with three, four, or five musicians. In Paris alone, the artist has appeared in recent years at the Grand Rex, the Maison de la Poésie, the Centre Pompidou and the Olympia.
This summer, Patti Smith is set to perform at the Folies Bergère. To catch or revisit this towering rock icon on stage in Paris, head to July 11 and 12, 2026. And don’t wait to book your tickets now!
