Les Foudres 2026: Igorrr, Ashen, Sun... the lineup for the second ceremony celebrating French metal

After a first edition held in 2025, Les Foudres return this autumn with a new installment to be unveiled on Thursday, December 10, 2026. To be experienced live and also broadcast on television, this new ceremony will feature four bands from the French metal scene on the Bataclan stage, including Igorrr, Ashen, Sun and Alta Rossa. Note that tickets go on sale this Monday, September 21 at 11 a.m.

Remember last year when Gojira, Landmvrks, Revnoir, and Ultra Vomit were honored at the inaugural ceremony. Les Foudres, the renowned event dedicated to French metal, is coming back this autumn to Paris with a second edition that’s bound to make waves again. Mark your calendars for what promises to be a highlight on Thursday, December 10, 2026 at the Bataclan. This year, new bands and artists will be honored. Stay tuned for the list of nominees.

But Les Foudres, to be enjoyed live in front of a crowd and broadcast on France 4 in prime time, are also an opportunity to witness live performances. In 2025, at the inaugural edition, Carpenter Brut, Grandma’s Ashes, Revnoir and Gravekvlt lit up the Paris venue. On December 10, four new groups will be invited to perform live. So, who are they? Who will have the honor of performing at this second ceremony of the Foudres? We’ll tell you!

Igorrr, the acclaimed project led by the gifted Gautier Serre, is a genuine anomaly on the metal scene, fusing black metal, breakcore, and baroque/classical textures into a single, explosive brew. The outfit recently welcomed singer Marie Gerhardine Iguchi in place of Marthe Alexandre, and dropped its new album "Amen" in September 2025. Since then, Igorrr has electrified the Olympia audience and turned heads at Hellfest in the summer of 2026. On December 10, the band plans to keep the momentum going and spark some fiercely pogos at the second edition of Les Foudres.

Ashen is also set to perform at the Bataclan this fall. The French metalcore band, formed in 2021, released its debut studio album "Chimera" in 2025, which includes the single "Crystal Tears."

Also on December 10 at Bataclan, the Besançon-based group Alta Rossa, and Karoline Rose Sun, better known as “SUN,” will take the stage. A singer, songwriter, guitarist and Franco-German actress, Sun has forged her own sound, dubbed Brutal Pop. Her rising profile is clear from the fact that she has already opened for Nina Hagen, Jeanne Added, Shaka Ponk and Hanabie.
