Festival de jour // de nuit 2023 : the free street art festival in Essonne

The Festival de jour // de nuit is an unmissable event forstreet art lovers. This year, from May 26 to 29, Pentecost included and from June 2 to 4, 2023, the streets ofEssonne will be transformed into a veritable artistic stage, to welcome a variety of free creations open to all, young and old. The event, organized by the artistic creation residence La Lisière, is in its 12th edition.

The experience begins on Friday, May 26 under the big top of the 100 Issues company, which will present its creation "Bluff!" in the park of the Bruyères-le-Châtel castle. A show that promises to be captivating, mixing reality and reverie. The program also includes shows by the Compagnie Juste avant l'oubli, the Groupe Zur and the Compagnie d'un Ours. • "Mange la vie avec les doigts" by La Boca Abierta, Saint-Germain-lès-Arpajon, May 28 at 4:30 pm
• "Une Pelle" by the Compagnie d'un Ours, Villiers-sur-Orge, May 28 at 6:30 pm

Created in 2012 by the company La Constellation and the Communauté de communes de l'Arpajonnais, the festival de jour // de nuit has the mission of promoting street art on the territory of Essonne. Since 2017, it is orchestrated by La Lisière, in charge of the artistic direction and general coordination.

Beyond a simple festival, it is a real concrete action, even political, aiming to make art accessible to all. In a friendly atmosphere, the Festival de jour // de nuit invites the public to discover a multitude of street art, dance and circus shows, presented by passionate and talented artists. The shows are offered free of charge and take place in different places in Essonne, for a total immersion in the artistic universe.
