There aren't many plays about sport, let alone cycling! Yet there are many French people who cycle on a daily basis, and who can identify with the experiences and dreams of Cyril Fragniere, who tells the story of his involvement with cycling, from childhood to the highest level, in his one-man show running until December 6, 2023. Over the course of almost an hour, the former racer-turned-actor talks about his career and his conversion, and reviews all the bikes he has ridden, from his youth to the present day.
Each bike is a souvenir that reveals his singular itinerary, that of a young teenager who dreamed of becoming a cyclist, doing the Tour de France and one day wearing the yellow jersey. He recounts his ascent to the highest level, his daily life in the reserves of a professional team, the races, the training sessions, and his quest for a state of grace, which he still seeks today on stage, closer to the public than on the roads of the world.
Hurry, tickets are going fast for this Cultural Olympiad play!
