Over the years, many comedians have taken the mic. Elena Nagapetyan, Tony Saint Laurent, Sofia Belabbes, Jean-Benoît Diallo, Adel Fugazi, Kamel Djibaoui, Sofiane Soch, Richard Sabak, or Nadège 100 Gêne have been among the artists who have passed through this adventure, alongside many other talents.

On Mondays, stand-up takes over Pigalle

First date: every Monday at Monkey Pigalle, at 53 Rue Jean-Baptiste Pigalle in the 9th arrondissement.

Nestled in the heart of Pigalle, Monkey cultivates an atmosphere that blends neo-Art Deco influences with contemporary touches. A setting that works especially well for stand-up: dimmed lights, an audience close to the stage and an intimate vibe before the night shifts into a livelier, more festive mood.

Starting at 7 p.m., it’s time for the Umbrella Comedy Open Mic. The idea? An open mic where comedians can test new jokes, polish their material, and run ideas by the audience directly.

One Friday a month, Umbrella Comedy completely changes its scene and heads to the 14th arrondissement of Paris.

This time, meet at Poinçon, at 124 General-Leclerc Avenue, with two Comedy Club sessions, at 7 PM and then at 9 PM.

And it's hard to imagine a more Parisian backdrop: Poinçon occupies the former gare de Montrouge-Ceinture, inaugurated in 1867 on the Petite Ceinture line and fully restored before becoming a cultural hotspot that blends a bar, a restaurant and events.

An unconventional venue that fits perfectly with Umbrella Comedy’s nomadic ethos: taking stand-up out of its usual spaces and placing it where the audience might not expect it.

At Umbrella Comedy, you don’t need to be a stand-up pro to step inside.
