"La Fontaine en Fables et Notes" is a literary and musical show by actress Brigitte Fossey, combining readings of the texts and musical setting by Danièle Laval on piano, at the Théâtre de Poche Montparnasse, throughout December 2023. They will bring to life the Fables of Jean de La Fontaine, writer, poet, man of spirit, humanist... all the facets of the genius of the timeless tales that are these Fables, where poetry, wisdom and morality rub shoulders with humor and tenderness.
After"Sand, Chopin : vie et passion", which Brigitte Fossey performed at the Salle Gaveau in 2012, the actress also presented"Victor en musique et Hugo en liberté" in 2013, based on the same concert-reading model. In this new show, Brigitte Fossey lends her joyful energy and sensitive humor to the Fables. The actress is accompanied by the talented Danielle Laval on piano, who echoes La Fontaine's music with compositions by such prodigies of their art as Rameau, Beethoven, Chopin, Nino Rota and Michel Legrand...
For an evening and a family show, Brigitte Fossey and Danielle Laval succeed in making words and notes echo each other. Literature and music mingle and respond to each other, to celebrate Les Fables and Les Notes de La Fontaine, in December 2023 at the Théâtre de Poche Montparnasse.
