"Turing's Machine" is on at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal until April 27, 2024. Based on the true story of mathematician Alan Turing, the play has been a great success since its presentation at the Festival Off d'Avignon.

La machine de Turing, by Benoît Solès was created in 2018 and presented at the Festival Off d'Avignon. It runs until April 27, 2024 at the Théâtre du Palais-Royal in the heart of Paris.

Benoit Solès ' play tells the true story of Alan Turing, creator of what is considered the first computer: the Turing machine. A mathematician and cryptologist, he was instrumental in solving the Enigma code used by the Germans during the Second World War. However, the play doesn't just tell the story of Turing's computer prowess; we followAlan Turing's moving and touching story. We witness the evolution of his life, but also the consequences he had to face because of his homosexuality.

PlaywrightBenoit Solès plays the role ofAlan Turing. Inspired by Hugh Whitemore's play Breaking the Code, and based onAndrew Hodges' Alan Turing: The Enigma, the play won four Molières in 2019: Best Private Show, Best Living Francophone Author, Best Private Theater Director ( Tristan Petitgirard) and Best Actor.
