Take advantage of May’s sun to soak up art in Argenteuil: the city is staging another edition of the Mai des Artistes on May 30–31, 2026. A truly free, must-see art stroll!

It’s a genuine tradition making its return in Argenteuil this final weekend of May. Since 1999, the town has been hosting the Mai des Artistes, a wide-scale stroll through the city that lets visitors discover Argenteuil’s studios and art centers. The program features a route open to everyone, inviting people to view a variety of installations and exhibitions, and to meet the local artists.

It's on: the weekend of May 30-31, 2026, we're heading to Argenteuil in Val-d'Oise to dive into contemporary art. For this edition, 70 artists—painters, sculptors, photographers—are arriving from all over Île-de-France to meet you and astonish you. These creators have been given carte blanche to immerse us in their worlds and delight us this weekend.

Walkers can discover artworks scattered around Argenteuil’s downtown, as well as street-art. We can also see pieces inspired by the town’s Impressionist past, created en direct in front of visitors. The route also leads us to eight studios and exhibition spaces, which open their doors to the public for the occasion.

Workshops to explore this weekend:
All workshops and live art-making sessions will be open from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026.
