The Museum of Romantic Life marks its reopening and Valentine's Day with a free open day packed with special activities. Join us this Saturday, February 14, 2026, to celebrate art and love.

This day has been eagerly anticipated by fans of Parisian art, and it deserves a grand celebration: the Museum of Romantic Life reopens its doors on Saturday, February 14, 2026, after a year and a half of renovations. To allow everyone to rediscover this charming space and enjoy its refreshed ambiance, the Museum of Romantic Life will be free of charge for all visitors on February 14!

But that's not all! The museum is not only free, but it also hosts a variety of activities to celebrate Valentine's Day. Whether you're an art enthusiast or just in love, don't miss out on this wonderfully romantic opportunity in Paris.

What can visitors expect this February 14? First of all, they can explore the Musée de la Vie Romantique and rediscover this iconic cultural spot in the 9th arrondissement. The charming artist’s residence has undergone a significant restoration to preserve and revitalize this 19th-century building. The tour of the exhibition has also been redesigned to better spotlight Ary Scheffer, the renowned Romantic painter and the house’s former owner. The museum also pays homage to other great figures of the era: Chopin, Delacroix, Viardot... and, of course, George Sand.

After exploring the new Romantic Life Museum, enjoy the free activities that mark the day: musical sessions during the day, couples' dancing in the evening, and special nighttime events... Check out the full schedule for this festive day:
