The Chapelle des Petits-Augustins at the Beaux-Arts de Paris is participating in the new edition of the Art Basel Paris fair, offering a free outdoor installation to be discovered from October 21 to 26, 2025.

The month of October is a real feast for all art lovers. In addition to the Monument Jeu d'Enfant event, the Architecture Days, the Châteaux Night... We take advantage of the international contemporary art fair, Art Basel Paris. This major annual event allows us to discover hundreds of galleries and artists from all over the world, as well as to admire exhibitions and installations free of charge.

Thanks to its "hors les murs" (outside the walls) programming, contemporary art is dispersed and installed throughout the capital. This week-long event brings art within everyone's reach. This year, from October 21 to 26, 2025, we'll be taking advantage of an original, free installation, organized in the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins at the École des Beaux-Arts de Paris.

This 2025 edition features the work of Russian artist Harry Nuriev. The architect and designer is well known for his object detour: luxury or everyday objects become the component parts of a new work. These creations are often used to denounce the shortcomings of society, and in particular the excesses of consumerism. Harry Nuriev seeks to create something new out of the existing, finding beauty in the ordinary and the unexpected.

For this Art Basel Paris event, Harry Nuriev presents an interactive installation in the majestic setting of the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins, in which the public also becomes artists. Once again, Harry Nuriev prompts us to question our consumption practices, using supermarket bins: visitors can drop off or exchange objects they no longer use. Each transaction is symbolized by a certificate given to the visitor.
