For nine days, go behind the scenes of jewelry creation at the Réfectoire des Cordeliers, a magnificent convent in the Latin Quarter. In the heart of this historic site, Francéclat unveils"Secrets de bijoux", a free exhibition that introduces the general public to the world of precious jewels, from traditional manufacturing to the presentation of nearly 250 French brands. From November 10 to 19, 2023, you'll be able to take part in an immersive journey through the secrets of precious stones and materials, from gold to diamonds.
It's an opportunity not only to get a glimpse of ancestral jewellery-making know-how, but also to understand the imagination of a jewelry designer. You'll discover all the stages of design in the workshops, as well as the jeweler's gestures, French-style pearls, their meaning and their history. In addition to tradition, 3D printing now plays a major role in the creation process, starting with gold powder.
An educational exhibition, presenting a range of precious jewels, from the most classic to the most contemporary, in an area dedicated to gemology. You'll also be able to marvel at precious stones, thanks to conferences and DIY workshops for the whole family, in addition to the exhibition!
