In the Faubourg Saint-Honoré, contemporary art steps out of the galleries and takes to the air. And this time again, it settles right in the street’s heart with a free outdoor exhibition that sparks a dialogue between memory, material and innovation.
Following the works by Andrea Rogi, it is now time for Cyprus in the Faubourg Saint-Honoré to take over Place de l’Église Notre-Dame de l’Assomption, from 28 April to 27 July 2026. An initiative carried by the Comité du Faubourg Saint-Honoré and the Embassy of Cyprus, designed for public space.
At the center of the route: four works by Cypriot artist Theodoulos Gregoriou, displayed as fragments of time laid into the city. Inspired by reinterpreted archaeological remains, they replay collective memory. The sculptures are created in 3D-printed cement in white and grey. A raw material, here reframed as a language of contemporary art, straddling architecture and digital creation. The whole piece explores the layering of eras, like a writing of time in successive layers.
The artist speaks of work built on “metamorphoses” and the “stratifications of the image of time,” where each era leaves a trace that transforms rather than disappears. He also integrates advances in robotics and 3D printing, applied to the central material at play: cement.
Between art, architecture and digital technologies, the free exhibition offers a nuanced reading of transforming urban landscapes at the crossroads of archaeology and the future.
