Snoopy style: an unusual free fashion exhibition in the Marais, last few days

Generations of children have been charmed by Snoopy, the famous black-and-white dog, and the Peanuts family. Invented by Charles M. Schulz in 1950, these iconic characters are renowned the world over. From March 22 to April 5, 2025 in Paris, Snoopy celebrates his 75th birthday with a free, unusual exhibition in the Marais district.

As a cartoon character, Snoopy and his friends could have celebrated this anniversary by unveiling to the public never-before-seen drawings, originals from 1950, toys and stuffed animals... This exhibition takes us by surprise with its theme: at theHôtel du Grand Veneur, we discover the Snoopy style, a fashion exhibition featuring creations by Giorgio Armani, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, Fiorucci, Betsey Johnson, Issey Miyake...

Yes, Charlie Brown's little dog is a fashion icon, and has inspired many designers and fashion houses. Snoopy is an important figure in popular culture, and has been reworked, re-dressed and reinvented by various artists over the years.

Entitled Snoopy In Style: A History of Peanuts and Fashion, the exhibition brings together comics and objects from the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Peanuts Worldwide, as well as dolls featuring Snoopy and Belle dressed by leading designers.

The exhibition route is divided into several chapters, in which visitors can learn more about Snoopy's world, his influence, and the place of clothing and accessories in the character's visual universe.

We discover Charles M. Schulz's style of dress, that of his emblematic characters, such as Charlie Brown and his zigzag t-shirt, and how the wardrobe of these little fictional beings reflects their desires, their dreams... The exhibition then reveals how Peanuts has become a global brand, thanks to derivative products and the appropriation and reuse of the characters in other universes. The tour continues with a look at collaborations with leading fashion designers, and in particular Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who has often designed new outfits for Snoopy.
