The art of perfumers: the free sensory exhibition at Château d'Asnières (92) - our photos

Immerse yourself in the world of perfume through a free exhibition, from September 20 to October 19, 2025, Thursdays from 5pm to 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays, at the Château d'Asnières-sur-Seine. "L'art des parfumeurs" invites you to discover the history, manufacturing secrets and unique expertise of the great perfume houses such as Rochas, Caron, Piguet and Millot, which have contributed to the renown of the town and the Hauts-de-Seine region in general, including Suresnes.

For a month, this open-access exhibition traces the evolution of perfume through the centuries, with rare bottles, archive documents and emblematic objects. It's a chance to admire vintage packaging from private collections or major houses like Dior, and to sharpen your senses with an osmotheque, where you can test your nose!

We loved the little hidden room, where scents abound as soon as you open the door, with several plants scattered around to let you smell the different fragrances, such as jasmine or lavender, which are still often found in our bottles today.

Focusing on the history of perfume in the département, the exhibition is rather large, with numerous written explanations, lots of old bottles and a few period advertisements that take us back in time!

You can also take advantage of conferences led by experts from the world of perfume, historians and collectors to better understand this art at the crossroads of the senses, chemistry and poetry, for which you need to reserve your free place in advance.
