Discover the Musée Jean-Jacques Henner through history, with this original exhibition of drawings, on view from October 15, 2025 to January 19, 2026. The museum welcomes contemporary artist Elina Kulish, who closes her artistic residency with the Echos exhibition, revealing the art space from every angle.
Visitors can admire more than thirty drawings and paintings, depicting the rooms and settings of the Jean-Jacques Henner Museum, in different eras. This exhibition explores memory and identity, bringing the past and history of the site to life on paper.
From artist's home to studio to museum: this 17th arrondissement townhouse has lived many lives, and welcomed many personalities who have left their mark within its walls. Thanks to the museum's archives, Elina Kulish was able to unearth this rich history and recreate the building's different lives on paper.
The contemporary artist plays with fine lines and superimposed shapes to bring together the present and the past. The play of color also lends an ethereal aspect to the works: ghosts of the past resurface, like distant memories.
Various series of drawings highlight the museum' s key features, such as the staircases and the winter garden. Of course, Jean-Jacques Henner himself, and his niece Marie, are also represented in this exhibition. Several portraits complete the tour.
The exhibition is short, but the drawings are delicate and fascinating. Elina Kulish's works are on display in the museum's permanent tour, providing an opportunity to rediscover this unjustly overlooked art space and enjoy the exceptional permanent collection.
Let yourself be transported by these echoes of the past, and rediscover the Musée Jean-Jacques Henner through Elina Kulish's exhibition.
