Looking for a good deal this All Saints' Day? If you love photography, committed projects and sumptuous locations, then don't miss the"France, un album de famille" exhibition. This free photographic installation will be on display from October 20 to November 2, 2025, in the sublime salons d'honneur ofParis City Hall, which will be exceptionally open for the occasion.
Organized by the GoodPlanet Foundation and curated by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and Hervé Le Bras, this exhibition showcases the diversity of faces that make up today's France. For the occasion, 150 photographs are on display.
For more than 30 years, renowned journalist, film-maker, photographer and environmental activist Yann Arthus-Bertrand has been travelling the length and breadth of France, immortalizing the faces of many people, along with those of their loved ones, colleagues and animals. For the occasion, everyone is invited to don their work or everyday clothes and pose on the same hessian tarpaulin.
Following his meeting in 2023 with Hervé Le Bras, French demographer and historian, Yann Arthus-Bertrand decided to complete this important photographic work, enriching it with a demographic and educational dimension. This autumn, the salons d'honneur of the Hôtel de Ville will be the setting for this ground-breaking exhibitionentitled "France, un album de famille"(France, a family album), which aims to remind us of"living together and our ability to unite in the face of the major challenges we face".
"I'm delighted that Paris is hosting this exhibition by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and the GoodPlanet Foundation. By opening its doors to this 'family album', the Hôtel de Ville becomes, for the duration of a visit, a place of memory and hope. These faces from all horizons, photographed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, compose a sensitive and powerful portrait of our country, and carry a formidable message of hope" declared the Mayor of Paris, Anne Hidalgo, in a press release.
