From November 10, 2025, to January 10, 2026, the HIS Paris concept store will transport Parisians to the heart of Japan, and more specifically to its capital, Tokyo. The program includes an exhibition that takes visitors on a journey through the city's lively streets, Japanesecooking workshops, and a selection of products sourced directly from Japan, for two months.
Specially designed for the venue, this free, open-access exhibition presents the poetic works ofMateusz Urbanowicz (who worked on Your Name, among other projects ), original prints developed in Japan and shipped to Paris for the occasion, which immerse visitors inthe atmosphere and facades of Tokyo. The artist is also exhibiting a few original limited-edition watercolors of Tokyo and Paris, and if you like any of them, you're in luck because you can buy them on a first-come, first-served basis!
A series of cooking workshops, including tastings and masterclasses, dedicated to the great culinary traditions of Japan and Tokyo will also showcase four areas of Japanese culinary expertise: onigiri, sake, wagashi, and tea. But to enjoy them, you'll have to pay between €34 and €60. The workshops are open to both beginners and experienced cooks. It will be an opportunity to learn more about Japanese customs and discover products directly from the country!
These products will also be available in stores, in the glassware, textile, incense, and sake sections, so you can immerse yourself in Japan even at home! The experience is open Monday through Friday from 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., but don't forget to book your workshops in advance!
