Starting April 8, 2026, the Museum of Man will host a photography exhibition by Nikos Aliagas. Titled "The Grande Ages," the exhibit explores our connection to aging through a blend of intimate portraits and scientific insights, highlighting the vital role of our elders in society.

The Musée de l’Homme will open on April 8, 2026 a unique exhibition at the intersection of anthropology and poetry. Set in the Foyer Germaine Tillion until January 3, 2027, this installation delves into the major stages of human life. It is the result of an unprecedented dialogue between photographer and host Nikos Aliagas, an expert on the subject, and biodemographer Samuel Pavard.

Visitors reflect on the role of seniors in society, exploring the connections between generations and the experience of aging through thoughtful photographs that capture warm and respectful gazes.

Blending science and observation, the exhibit captures the passage of time etched on faces, making visible what often goes unnoticed—through intimate portraits that tell stories and reveal lives rich with experience.

Beyond its touching and deeply sensitive aspects, the exhibition also offers a chance to explore more scientific questions related to memory and demographics. It touches on topics like human longevity, the role of elders in society, the transmission of knowledge, rising life expectancy, and the public health challenges that aging presents.

With your ticket, you can also explore the other current exhibitions in this museum, which stands out as a place for thoughtful reflection on today’s challenges, thanks to its remarkable collections.
