Le street artiste Jace, known worldwide for his famous Gouzous, returns to Paris with a new solo exhibition in collaboration with the Mathgoth gallery. This time, the French urban artist takes over a 300-square-meter pop-up space in the 13th arrondissement to present his "Cœur Sensible."

After staging exhibitions dedicated to Miss.Tic and Jef Aérosol, the urban art gallery Mathgoth now shines the spotlight on the work of Jace. This marks the ninth collaboration between the street artist and the gallery in the 13th arrondissement. Titled “Cœur Sensible,” this new solo exhibition by Jace will run from May 30 to July 4, 2026 in a 300 m² temporary space, tucked just steps from the Bibliothèque François Mitterrand.

Promoted as an "immersive journey", this new exhibition offers a chance to dive back into Jace's artistic universe, blending humor and sensitivity.

Already a familiar name to urban art lovers, the self-taught Jace began painting on the streets in 1989. Three years later, he gave birth to the now-renowned Gouzou; a faceless figure with no defined identity, into which anyone can project themselves. Since then, his famous Gouzou has cropped up everywhere, in more than thirty countries across four continents! Thirty-four years after Gouzou’s first appearance, the character still roams the streets—and the galleries alike.

From May 30 to July 4, 2026, Jace invites us to rediscover his work through a new, free-to-enter exhibition. Structured around three acts, the installation opens with Jace’s perspective on our world, expressed in paintings on palings, metal supports, and found materials sourced directly from urban spaces. The second act honors the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster with original photographs of the various murals the artist created on site. The gallery also announces, on this occasion, the screening of a film by Sami Chalak documenting this experience in the ghost town of Pripyat in 2019. Finally, the last act centers on love, with around forty canvases where Gouzou appears gentler.
