A art-filled weekend dedicated to art... The artists of the 20th arrondissement of Paris open their studios to onlookers and painting enthusiasts, on the 8, 9, 10 and 11 May 2026. Organized by the association Ateliers du Père-Lachaise Associés (APLA), these open-house days let you discover the work of painters, sculptors, engravers, and photographers in the very places where their creations came to life.
For this edition, the neighborhood artists open the doors to 15 studios, located between the southern edge of Père-Lachaise Cemetery and Place de la Réunion, winding through Rue des Pyrénées, Boulevard de Charonne, Rue d’Avron and the surrounding areas. Streets, dead-ends and the backs of courtyards: art hides in every corner!
In addition to the direct connection with the artists, these open houses are also a way to discover or rediscover this green district of the capital, with its quiet streets and flower-filled passageways, through the prism of art and creativity... Not to mention that you may be able to find original gift ideas or unearth a favorite piece for your home, as some of the works on display are for sale!
Ceramists, painters, engravers, sculptors, draftsmen, authors: artists of every stripe have made the 20th arrondissement their home. Visitors will discover a diverse and approachable slate of creators for a free stroll open to all. About thirty creators and collectives are awaiting the curious during this weekend of art.
It's a great cultural event featuring wonderful encounters with the artists who bring the capital to life. Art, a stroll through an iconic neighborhood of the capital—what more could you ask for? So don't miss out! To get a map and guide to the event, head to the information point on Rue de Monte-Cristo.
