Ménilmontant Open Studios 2026: discover the artists of the 20th arrondissement

Les Ateliers de Ménilmontant opens its doors to the public from September 24 to 27, 2026: come meet the painters, sculptors, photographers, engravers, ceramicists, draftsmen, visual artists and videographers from Paris’s 20th arrondissement.

Thousands of visitors, discoveries and unique encounters, and a wonderful moment to experience in the 20th arrondissement: the artists of Ménilmontant invite you from September 24–27, 2026 for a new edition of the Open Doors of the Ménilmontant Studios. For this 35th edition, painters, photographers, sculptors, ceramicists and other draughtsmen will welcome you to view their works and projects. A free appointment that always lights up the cultural season!

This year again, you can admire the work of more than a hundred artists, and explore over 40 art spaces in the lively, festive Ménilmontant neighborhood. Over these four days, studios, galleries, as well as theaters, cafes, and social centers swing their doors open, transforming this corner of Paris into a giant outdoor art gallery. A handy map-guide helps you stroll the district and catch every exhibition.

Participating galleries open their doors to art enthusiasts in the afternoons, and stay open until 9 p.m. on Fridays. In addition to the art tours, these open hours let you attend concerts, performances, readings, and writing workshops... It’s your turn to unleash your creativity and think outside the box!

Whether you're a professional, an enlightened amateur or simply curious, it's a warm and unique moment of discovery and encounter during an artistic stroll through various art and meeting places. It's also an opportunity to take home a unique work of art!

Over these four days, seize the chance to see the artist’s work with fresh eyes and pick up new knowledge: learn to distinguish a engraving from a lithograph, a bronze or patinated sculpture, a ceramic piece in raku glaze... In the process, you’ll encounter artists who maintain a traditional know-how and others who carry on an ancient technique by adapting old methods to contemporary practices.

Born more than thirty years ago, the ADM association (Ateliers de Ménilmontant) forges tight connections between residents and the neighborhood’s cultural and social institutions, and artistically animates public space: ephemeral collective mural painting, a transformed street... A welcome desk enables visitors to pick up the route map and quickly overview all the artists exhibiting by consulting their books at the Galerie Ménil'8.
