The Rendez-vous aux Jardins is back, and it's an event that's all about nature! The château d'Auvers-sur-Oise, an Impressionist paradise, invites you into its nine-hectare park for the weekend of June 7 and 8, 2025.
June sees the return of
Rendez-vous aux Jardins! The first weekend of the month, which we hope will be sunny, opens the doors to the most
beautiful parks and gardens in the Île-de-France region, for
exceptional visits and events, accessible to all to enjoy nature.
And what better way to discover a place that has inspired so many artists than in the town of
Auvers-sur-Oise, a veritable haven for
Impressionist painters such as Corot, Daumier, Pissarro, Cézanne and Vincent Van Gogh. The
Château d'Auvers-sur-Oise welcomes
you to its luxuriant gardens, with a superb
nine-hectare park, fountains, decorated and sculpted parterres and shady walkways.
The gardens are divided into three sections, laid out in three different styles: those of the Italian Renaissance, with high and low terraces, planting carefully arranged to create screens or plant windows that punctuate the stroll, notably the Nymphée shell fountain. The French-style gardens are much more symmetrical, with paths lined with boxwood, parterres and bosquets.
Finally, English gardens add a touch of madness, to break up all that tidy nature. Here, flowers, trees and bushes are free to grow wherever they please, creating a feeling of a natural, untouched garden. A very pleasant walk, with irises, roses and clematis, landscapes that undoubtedly inspired painters of the time.
