For the Fête de la Nature, Issy-les-Moulineaux goes green from May 21 to 24, 2025. The town has planned a varied program for young and old, combining nature activities, gardening and biodiversity. Here's what we've got in store for you.
Well-known for its commitment to sustainable development and animalwelfare , the Hauts-de-Seine town is once again taking part in this national event to reconnect us with our immediate environment . It's the perfect opportunity to take a new look at this dynamic commune, just a stone's throw from Paris, and discover its sometimes unsuspectednatural riches.
On Wednesday May 21, at the Maison de la Nature et de l'Arbre in the heart of the town, a family workshop entitled " Et la Nature prend forme" (And Nature takes shape)takes place from 2pm to 4pm. Guided by our animators , participants set off to discover local flora and fauna through a sensory game . Two sessions are planned, at 2pm and 3pm, for a limited group of 12 people maximum. A great way to rediscover what urban nature can still teach us . The workshop is held in the multi-purpose room of the Médiathèque centre-ville.
On the same day at 6pm , a guided walk on the theme of edible and medicinal wild plants is offered by the Totem Sauvage association . The walk departs from the Île Saint-Germainfootbridge , a place well known to the people of Issé. This educational walk is open to children aged 5 and over (subject to a maximum of 15 participants) and offers a different perspective on the grasses of our sidewalks and banks of the Seine. An opportunity to learn how to recognize the virtues of these often forgottenplants .
On Saturday May 24 , a new guided walk called " Dis-moi où tu vis" (Tell mewhere you live)invites you to discover natural habitats and the species that inhabit them. A moment of gentle observation to better understand how nature nestles in the folds of the urban landscape , even in the heart of a dense city like Issy-les-Moulineaux.
These activities are part of the 19th edition of the Fête de la Nature, a national event offering over 10,000 free events across France every year . In Issy , they are all open doors to a biodiversity that we don't always look at anymore , but which nonetheless abounds.
