The Carrot Festival returns to Croissy-sur-Seine (78) on September 6 and 7, 2025. Shows, fireworks and association forum in Parc Chanorier. A century-old tradition of good eating.

Looking for a fun back-to-school outing? The Fête de la Carotte 2025 takes place on Saturday September 6 and Sunday September 7 at the Parc Chanorier in Croissy-sur-Seine, Yvelines. This festive tradition, which has been going on since the 19th century, this year features an alluring program for the whole family under the theme"the carrot makes a big deal of it!". The free event celebrates the vegetable that once made this pretty Ile-de-France town famous. And we assure you, it's a lot more fun than you might think!

The first evening of festivities kicks off at 6pm with the opening of doors, before the improvised theatrical show"Les Petits plats dans les Grands" by the Les Balbutiés company at 6:30pm. This interactive performance takes a humorous approach to the culinary theme of the 2025 edition. In the morning, you can attend a cruise organized to welcome the commune's new residents. Cute, isn't it?

The evening continues with a live concert at 8:30 p.m., before the inevitable fireworks display at 10 p.m. that lights up Parc Chanorier. Youngsters won't be left out, either, with the distribution of luminous surprises at 8pm. For food, the choice is yours: opt for on-site catering thanks to the foodtrucks, or bring your own picnic to enjoy the verdant setting. We love this option for a relaxed evening with family and friends.

This original installation allows you to prepare fruit juices while pedaling. Kids will love it, and parents too, let's face it.

You can also discover the collective vegetable garden with the Amis des jardins croissillons association and observe a beehive with the avettes des boucles de Seine. Gourmets will love the sugar-paste carrot workshop and chocology, while the more studious can take part in the library dictation at 3pm.

Catering: from traditional to gourmet

To mark the occasion, the municipality is treating around 100 senior citizens to the famous beef and carrot Sunday lunch, a gourmet nod to local tradition. But the real novelty is the new restaurant Chou de Chanorier, created by Bistrots pas Parisiens, which is preparing a special menu for the event. Its menu is designed by Charlie Anne, the Top Chef 2025 finalist we've all been following with such passion! The official opening of this gastronomic establishment is scheduled for September 9, 2025, right after the party. Clever.

And what else?

Plus all weekend long

  • Randonnées de la Saint-Fiacre by Cyclo-club de Croissy (registration on site at 25 bis rue de la Procession - info & prices: ccc78.fr)
  • Culinary show Food in all its forms with Olivier Chaput at the Sunday market
  • Access to the library, Les As de la Jungle exhibition at Chanorier, Musée de la Grenouillère and Pavillon d'Histoire Locale

Catering on site and picnic allowed in the park

Since its creation in the 19th century, this festival may have changed name several times, but it remains THE Croissy-sur-Seine festival. It pays tribute to the carrot, which once provided a livelihood for the inhabitants of this commune in the Yvelines department. It's quite touching to see a town celebrating its agricultural roots in this way, even if Croissy-sur-Seine has changed a lot today!

The Parc Chanorier, where the festivities take place, is close to the eponymous château, a beautiful 18th-century edifice that today houses exhibitions and the Musée de la Grenouillère, dedicated to Impressionism. This exceptional location, between historic heritage and unspoilt green spaces, gives the event a special charm that we won't shy away from.

Getting there from Paris is easy: take RER line A to Chatou-Croissy station, or use public transport in the Paris region. This free event, open to all, is one of the Yvelines region's most popular back-to-school events, combining tradition, conviviality and culinary discoveries in a setting that feels good. Perfect for a successful family outing!

See you in Croissy-sur-Seine's Parc Chanorier on Saturday, September 6 from 6pm and Sunday, September 9 from noon!
