On December 6 and 7, 2025, travel to the Far North for an international dog sled race! The towns of Rebais and Saint-Léger, in Seine-et-Marne, are hostingthe Odyssée Resbacienne for the first time, a major competition that brings together around fifty mushers accompanied by more than 500 Nordic dogs: huskies, malamutes, samoyeds, and laikas, organized for the benefit of the Telethon.
Are you ready to hear the incessant barking of these impressive dogs before the start? This is an opportunity to admire them and gain a better understanding of this unusual and rare sport in our region, alongside Jean Combazard, four-time world champion in the discipline and an iconic figure in French mushing, who will take visitors behind the scenes of the sport by commenting on the starts and during demonstrations.
A Cani'Joëlette ParaSport race will also allow people with disabilities to experience the event, surrounded by runners and sled dogs. Admission is free, and there will be a range of solidarity activities on offer, such as dog sled rides for an exceptional experience at €5, a stand where you can cuddle the dogs for €2, and the sale of roses and goodies, with part of the proceeds going to the Telethon.
You will be able to follow the passage of the teams up close thanks to areas designed for the occasion, meet the mushers, discover their dogs, and better understand how this sport works, where the relationship between man and animal is essential. For safety reasons, visitors are obviously asked not to bring their dogs to the site.
