Saint-Fiacre Festival 2026: games, medieval dances and an immersive journey into the Middle Ages

Hardly the new school year has begun, and already Ville-du-Bois is pulling out all the stops with the 2026 edition of the Fête de la Saint-Fiacre, set for Sunday, September 13, 2026. A day that promises celebration, and above all, free fun in this town in the Essonne département this September!

The Saint-Fiacre Festival honors the eponymous saint, who is also the patron of gardeners. Traditionally held on August 30, it attracts numerous events across France each year. In Île-de-France, the celebration is notably centered around Villemomble, in the Seine-Saint-Denis department.

What’s on the agenda for this Saint-Fiacre festival in Ville-du-Bois? This year the theme is the Moyen-Âge, so dive into the knights’ world with spectacles, jeux, des épreuves, des ateliers créatifs, and an exposition of artisans...

A grand encampment staged by the Compagnons Philippiens troupe will briefly take over Beaulieu Square, featuring demonstrations of historic crafts, introductory sessions on period weaponry, medieval dances, and masked strolls...
