Samba! On Saturday March 30, 2024, the town of Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine becomes Brazil-sur-Seine and takes you to the land of carnival and samba for one afternoon. Make way for batucadas, concerts and giant puppets to celebrate Carnival in Saint-Ouen!
More than fifty years after the last edition of Saint-Ouen's Brazilian carnival, the town is renewing this great festive event on Saturday March 30, with a packed program. Join us at 2:30 p.m. for the departure of the processions from Place Payret: bring your feathers, sequins and bright colors, and join the parade inspired by the Rio carnival.
For the occasion, the carnival promises to be festive, with floats, giant puppets, concerts, batucadas... As well as theinauguration of a giant Brazilian work of art by artist Rafamon, in the heart of the Puces. After the parade, the carnival continues in the Square Marmottan with concerts and entertainment for all the family!
Audonians (from Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine, ed. note) can also learn how to create a mask or costume at the café associatif le Joli Mai, on Saturdays March 2, 9, 16 and 23, 2024.
